Cloud computing is the on-demand delivery of IT resources over the internet with pay-as you-go pricing. Instead of buying, owning, and maintaining physical data centers and servers, you can access technology services, such as computing power, storage, and databases, on an as-needed basis from a cloud provider
(Amazon Web Services).
There are three main types of cloud computing, which are Infrastructure as a Service(IaaS), Platform as a Service(PaaS), and Software as a Service(SaaS).
IaaS provides for users to access networking, computers and data storage space, which is similar to the service of existing IT resources and infrastructure that IT departments and developers provide. Outsourcing infrastructure to an IaaS solution makes users reduce costs of hardwares, operation and maintenance.
PaaS is the service to manage the underlying hardware and operating systems as well as Infrastructure, which is called managed service. So that users can focus on the deployment and management of the user's application.
SaaS is the service to provide users to use cloud-based apps over the internet, usually with web browsers, such as email, calendaring, and office tools
(Google workplace, Microsoft office).
